Doppelkopf
Doppelkopf is a card game for four players and is one of the card classics from northern Germany. The game is played with two standard decks of cards from which all 9s, 10s, Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces are taken.
Aim
The gameplay itself is very similar to Skat or Sheepshead. Two players form a team in each round called the “Re” and “Kontra” teams. However, you don't know who you will team up with at the start of the game. The aim is to use your trump and discard cards in the best way possible so that you and your partner (as the Re team) score at least 121 points or (as the Kontra team) score at least 120 points.
You should reach the highest number of points possible to beat the other team. The team that makes the most cunning moves and shows the greatest team effort wins the game!
